Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD required in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
• Strong background in polymers, composites or advanced materials.
• Experience with analytical chemistry and polymer/materials characterization is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Characterize and identify chemical constituents of biorefinery side-products.
• Develop polymeric and thermosetting materials incorporating biorefinery-derived components.
• Design formulations, processing and coatings for bio-based materials.
• Establish structure–property relationships and evaluate material performance.
