CNRS's Laboratoire d'Océanographie de Villefranche invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to identify secondary aerosols produced during toxic dinoflagellate blooms. The project uses real-time aerosol detection with an API-ToF-MS and involves a cross-disciplinary team (ecologist, oceanographer, atmospheric chemist, toxicologist).

The successful candidate will operate instruments during field campaigns and contribute to high-impact publications.

Qualifications

• PhD in atmospheric physical chemistry.
• Experience with API-ToF-MS instrumentation.
• Ability to analyze complex data.
• Experience writing scientific publications.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and operate the API-ToF-MS during a one-month field campaign (calibration, setup, shipping, maintenance).
• Conduct experiments during the field campaign (managing the API-ToF-MS and data acquisition).
• Interpret data in conjunction with results from other collaborators (VOC, primary aerosol, toxicology, water chemistry).
• Write a high-impact (Rank A) research paper.
