Job summary

Entrust is seeking a PhD CIFRE Researcher to join the Onfido Applied Science team. You will explore Vision Language Models for fraud detection, face matching and document extraction, training on large-scale datasets with multi-GPU clusters.

You will be mentored by a senior scientist and collaborate with 15+ Applied Scientists in Paris and London. The role emphasizes publishing at conferences and advancing biometrics and document understanding while using Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and cloud

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Computer Science Master’s or PhD degree or a related field.
Proficiency with a modern deep learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
Ability to write research code in Python.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Strong willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Contribute to research on Vision Language Models for fraud detection, face matching and document extraction.
Work on unique, large-scale image and video datasets and train models on state-of-the-art GPUs.
Publish at international conferences, pushing the state-of-the-art on biometrics and document understanding.
Be mentored by a senior machine learning scientist to ensure success in your mission.
Be part of a vibrant team of 15+ Applied Scientists based in Paris and London.
