HealthHero, Europe’s largest digital-first healthcare provider, is seeking a research-focused candidate to advance its algorithmic layer for clinical decision support. You will shape a project on decision graphs, optimisation, and information-theoretic strategies, collaborating with both engineering and clinical teams.

You will contribute to research-to-product translation in a regulated healthcare context, with potential co-supervision and publication support, while exploring scalable AI

Qualifications

• Strong background in computer science, mathematics, operations research or a related discipline (Master's level for PhD entry; PhD for postdoctoral appointment).
• Solid grounding in graph theory and graph algorithms.
• Programming proficiency sufficient for empirical work on real systems (e.g. Python; graph database experience such as Neo4j).
• Ability to reason rigorously about correctness and edge cases.
• Exposure to information theory, decision theory, probabilistic inference or planning under uncertainty.
• Interest in safety-critical or regulated domains; familiarity with clinical decision support welcome.
• Experience collaborating with industry or working with production datasets.

Responsabilités

• Shape their own project within the space of decision graphs and optimisation for health tech AI.
• Collaborate with engineering and clinical teams to bring research results into a regulated, patient-facing product.
• Explore path ranking under partial information, economy of questions, and semantic compression of question sets.
• Address asynchronous exploration of multi-path decision structures in non-linear workflows.
