The PRISM PhD programme at Paris Sciences & Lettres University offers up to 14 fully funded PhD fellowships starting from 1 March 2027 in a cutting-edge environment at PSL. Fellows work on CCUS-related microfluidic platforms, combining high-pressure experiments, in situ Raman spectroscopy, and machine-learning analysis.

Candidates should have a strong background in physics, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or microfluidics, with experience in experimental work and data

Qualifications

  • The candidate should have a strong background in physics, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, microfluidics or process engineering.
  • Experience with experimental work, spectroscopy, high-pressure devices, image analysis, data treatment or machine learning will be appreciated.
  • Programming skills in Python, Matlab, LabVIEW, COMSOL or equivalent tools would be useful.

Responsabilités

  • Develop a robust high-pressure microfluidic platform for CCUS studies under controlled conditions.
  • Collaborate on online monitoring of solvent loading and CCUS processes using spectroscopic data and machine-learning models.
  • Engage in international secondments and industry collaborations to connect research with practical decarbonization challenges.
