ESPCI Paris - PSL offers up to 14 fully funded PhD fellowships starting 1 March 2027 under the PRISM programme. The ROOTSTOCK project investigates plant root development under soil mechanical stresses, with international and intersectoral training, mobility, and courses in sustainability.

Fellows receive a net monthly salary of €2,200, mobility allowances, and access to a collaborative ecosystem across PSL and partner institutions in Europe.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in physics, biophysics, or biomechanics.
• Strong experimental component in research.
• Experience in soft matter, biophysics or biomechanics and image analysis is a bonus.
• Proficient English (C1/C2) or excellent level.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to interdisciplinary PhD project on root–soil interactions.
• Perform experiments in controlled substrates and biomimetic systems.
• Analyze data using Python, ImageJ, and MATLAB; present results.
