Lemonway is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Payments Tribe, a core part of our platform powering the payment experience across channels. You will report to the Head of Engineering and manage 9 engineers across 2 squads (Core, Pay), driving the delivery of our card payment stack and cash management platform.

This role blends people leadership with technical vision, requiring collaboration with Product and business teams to define a roadmap and ensure reliable, secure backend systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) leading engineers.
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams and functions.
• Experience with distributed or nearshore teams is a plus.
• Strong backend development skills in complex distributed services.
• Familiarity with C#, MS SQL, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Willingness to leverage AI tools to boost productivity.
• Knowledge of payments processing in regulated environments is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Create conditions for squads to operate effectively and deliver.
• Hire, develop and retain engineers in partnership with HR.
• Lead delivery across short- and long-term initiatives with clear goals.
• Own end-to-end scope ensuring value to customers and the business.
• Frame trade-offs and communicate with product, engineering, and business teams.
• Manage relationships with third-party providers including integrations and escalations.
