Description du poste

Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays

The European Payments Initiative is changing that with Wero, a proudly European digital wallet to make payments easier, clearer and more secure. Online, in store, at home and across borders, with your money and data protected under European laws and regulations.

Wero is live in Belgium, France and Germany and launching very soon in Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Backed by 16 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, we’re building a brand new, proudly European payment system. Why not join us?

What's in it for you

We are seeking a talented and proactive Partner Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as a bridge between our internal engineering teams and external partners. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate seamless technical integrations and collaborations, ensuring smooth communication and alignment between different parties.

About the team

You’ll be part of a Pan-European Product and Engineering team that operates in an Agile environment. You’ll work closely, but fully remotely, with experts in Product Design, Web Dev, Mobile Dev, Backend Dev, QA and DevOps from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Poland, and other European locations.

In particular, within the Member Experience team, composed of Marie Pilot (Head of Member Experience), Arjan (Partner Integration Manager), Bharat, Youssef, Emmanuel, and Damien (Partner Integration Engineers), as well as Daniel, Alex, and Neda (Technical Writers).

Your impact
  • Provide technical and product consulting, training, and advice to our members during their integration with our EPI platform
  • Become part of our engineering team to understand EPI’s technical platform and the wero product in-depth and to contribute to its further enhancement.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, providing technical insight and advice to prospective partners
  • Share insights and feedback from partners with the internal team to help improve our products and processes
Technology stack
  • OpenAPI, REST APIs
  • AWS, Kubernetes, MongoDB, DataDog
To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements
  • +5 years of experience in working with software engineers, an understanding of modern software architecture and technologies (e.g., MongoDB, REST API design) as well as public cloud (e.g., AWS) and security practices
  • Prior experience in a role that blends technical and product expertise with partner engagement, such as integration engineering, technical account management, or customer success in a tech-driven environment
  • Fluent in English (CEFR C1 or C2); French, German, Dutch, or any additional European languages are a plus
  • Thrive in a remote-first, multicultural environment
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner tailored to the audience's level of technical understanding
  • Strong interpersonal skills and enjoys working with people, building relationships, and solving problems
  • Experienced working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a high degree of autonomy
Nice to have
  • Experience with financial technology or digital payment platforms
  • Understanding of the European digital payments & banking landscape and regulations
What we can offer
  • Remote-first culture with quarterly and annual all-staff in-person meetups to keep teams connected and collaborative
  • Possibility to work from another EU country for up to 3 months per year
  • Competitive compensation package, featuring salary, performance-based bonus, and a thoughtfully designed, high-quality benefits program
  • The opportunity to be part of a multicultural European company
  • Learning & development budget: €5,000 training budget per year
