The United Nations Environment Programme in Paris is seeking a Buildings and Carbon Management Policy Specialist to provide technical, analytical and strategic support to UNEP's Buildings and Construction programme and carbon drawdown workstream.

Under supervision, the consultant will strengthen GlobalABC coordination, analyze carbon strategies for buildings and construction, develop project concepts and funding proposals, deliver policy inputs for international processes including COP31 and

Responsabilités

• Coordinate GlobalABC activities and support work planning, flagship products and partner engagement.
• Analyze carbon drawdown, utilization, storage and material economy for buildings and construction.
• Develop project concepts, funding proposals and partnerships for UNEP's buildings and carbon drawdown agenda.
• Deliver strategic recommendations, technical reports and policy inputs for UNEP in international climate processes (COP31, UNEA).
• Strengthen linkages between Buildings and Construction activities and carbon drawdown initiatives at global, regional and national levels.
• Maintain regular engagement with relevant UNEP teams and participate in meetings as needed.
