Aerotek in Meriden, CT is seeking a hands-on Chemical Operator to blend paints and adhesives, monitor batch processes, and ensure safety and quality.

You will weigh raw materials, perform quality tests, record data, and operate forklifts while supporting maintenance and documentation. This contract role requires flexibility, including nights and weekends as needed, and a commitment to clean, safe production practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in chemical plant operations and batch manufacturing.
• Proficient in weighing and mixing raw materials per batch instructions.
• Skilled in quality testing and documentation to meet specs.
• Able to operate forklifts in production/warehouse.
• Committed to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; able to read/write in production setting.
• Basic math and computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Operate, monitor, control, and document production batches in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Record feeds, temperatures, pressures, and other critical process data.
• Weigh and add raw materials according to batch instructions.
• Sample products and perform quality testing; document results.
• Load finished products into bulk tankers, totes, drums safely.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Support maintenance activities to keep equipment running.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area; overtime as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support plant performance.
