Adams Group in France is seeking a Packing Big Filler Operator to join our warehouse team. You will set up, operate, and maintain tote and drum fillers to meet quality specs while supporting shipping and receiving activities.

You will load trucks, verify lot numbers, follow SOPs and GMP, and help keep the warehouse clean and safe. This role requires forklift certification, 3–5 years in related ops, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3–5 years in warehouse/shipping/manufacturing or material handling.
  • Forklift certification required or the ability to obtain.
  • Ability to read, write and follow SOPs; food safety awareness.
  • English literacy for documentation and communication.

Responsabilités

  • Maintain organized warehouse space to support shipping and receiving.
  • Receive and unload materials, document receipts, and store materials properly.
  • Maintain control of shipping docs to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments by appointment times and changes.
  • Verify lot numbers and ensure accurate product selection for shipments.
  • Load trucks per product specs and customer requirements.
  • Follow SOPs and GMP for safe, accurate shipping.

Job Purpose Summary

The Packing Big Filler Operator is a member of the Packing Team reporting directly to the Packing Supervisor. The Packing Big Filler Operator is accountable and responsible for the set-up, operation and cleanliness of the tote and drum filler, to meet established quality and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain warehouse space in an organized and efficient manner to support shipping and receiving operations.
  • Receive and unload incoming materials from suppliers, complete required receiving documentation, and accurately store materials in designated locations.
  • Maintain positive control of all shipping and receiving documentation to ensure inventory accuracy and traceability.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments by identifying orders based on scheduled appointment times and communicating any required changes.
  • Verify lot numbers and ensure accurate product selection for outbound shipments.
  • Load trucks according to product specifications, quantities, and customer requirements.
  • Follow Packing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and accurate shipping practices.
  • Apply trailer and container seals and accurately document seal numbers on load documentation.
  • Load intermodal and export shipping containers using proper loading techniques.
  • Apply appropriate dunnage and load securement methods to protect products during transportation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Properly use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses to the Superintendent of Operations and Plant Manager.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and maintain audit-ready work areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies, attend required safety meetings and tailgate discussions, and perform all assigned work safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, or material handling operations.
Skills And Competencies
  • Intermediate proficiency with general computer applications.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving documentation and inventory control processes.
  • Understanding of lot control, product traceability, and customer shipping requirements.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Forklift certification required or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with intermodal and export container loading.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory systems, or ERP software.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, distribution, or commodity handling.
  • Experience with load securement, dunnage application, and shipping compliance requirements.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with exposure to forklifts, loading equipment, moving vehicles, and varying temperatures while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
