Synopsys Inc. is offering a 6-month internship in Lyon, France, within the optiSLang development team. You will enhance optimization algorithms and metamodel techniques, implementing prototypes in C++ and Python, and collaborating with diverse teams in a real-world engineering setting.

You will work on numerical methods, machine learning, and statistical analysis, using modern software tools across Windows and Linux environments, starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science.
• Familiar with numerical methods, machine learning, and statistics.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; comfortable in Windows/Linux environments.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Experience with surrogate modeling tools such as Matlab, Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Theano.

Responsabilités

• Conduct R&D on optimization algorithms, metamodel techniques, and ML applications.
• Develop algorithmic prototypes in C++ and Python; integrate into libraries.
• Create test cases and benchmarks to evaluate algorithm performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; present findings with documentation.
