Limelight Health is seeking a qualified candidate to optimize supply chain solutions by translating real-world scenarios into effective models. The role involves prototyping, validating, and industrializing algorithms to drive impactful outcomes within our innovative framework.
Ideal candidates should have a strong background in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering, alongside hands-on experience in coding and production optimization.
This role offers competitive health coverage, stock options, and a collaborative environment in the heart of Paris.
We are creating the factory of the future where disruptions are avoided, processes synchronized and value captured. Our factory operations management platform enables factory teams to be more agile and resilient in a world where supply chain disruptions occur every 16 minutes. Pelico empowers users to identify bottlenecks, avoid problems, and focus on innovation instead of fire‑fighting. Since our foundation in 2019, we’ve partnered with industry leaders across aerospace, industrial equipment, and luxury watchmaking, revolutionizing factory operations in over 15 countries. Esteemed clients include Airbus, Safran, Cartier, Daikin, and Eaton.
With a dynamic team of over 180 professionals across the US and France, Pelico is a melting pot of top‑tier talent from Tech, Data Science, and Manufacturing domains.
Our collaborative environment fosters innovation and excellence, driving us to solve complex challenges and shape the future of manufacturing.
Our work has been recognized by Safran (Digital Transformation Award) and Microsoft (scale‑up of the year).
Engineering turns Product ambition into scalable, reliable solutions that empower on‑site operational teams.
We design a platform that handles high volumes, concurrent users, and complex workflows, while remaining modular, maintainable, and future‑proof.
The missions will be further refined before your start date — scope may evolve based on product priorities.
Translate complex, real‑world supply‑chain and production situations into formal optimization models — deciding what to capture, what to simplify, and what “good” means before reaching for a solver.
Prototype and de‑risk. Explore competing approaches, build proofs of concept, and validate feasibility and value early — so we commit to directions that hold up, and kill the ones that don't, fast.
Industrialize — make algorithms consumable. A model only creates value once it's served, integrated, and reliable. You'll work with software engineers to expose your results, build the data pipelines that feed your models (sourcing historical data, extracting the signals and statistics you need), and design outputs to be consumed not only by the product UI and human users, but by agents running on top of the Pelico orchestration platform — clean, composable interfaces that automated and AI‑assisted workflows can call and chain.
Own the trade‑offs. Navigate the tension between optimality, runtime/performance, and explainability — which at Pelico is a hard constraint, not a nice‑to‑have. An optimal but opaque result won't be adopted; part of your craft is making solutions both strong and defensible to an operator.
Earn adoption. Drive your algorithms from “correct” to trusted: validate against baselines and golden datasets, agree on KPIs with stakeholders, and iterate when users challenge the output. Acceptance is a deliverable, not an afterthought.
Collaborate to get what you're missing. Work across product, engineering, operations, and sometimes directly with customers to obtain the data and signals you don't yet have, and to ship results into the product. The data won't come to you.
Build for scale and for impact. Design solutions that hold up in very large environments (millions of events, deep multi‑level BOMs), and keep them anchored to the outcomes Pelico moves for customers — revenue, OTD, inventory costs, etc.
Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering background— or an equivalent track record
Production experience across optimization (MILP/LP/CP)
A feel for the precision – speed – memory trade‑off and for performance at large scale (millions to hundreds of millions of records)
Hands‑on coding in production (we build in Kotlin/JVM — strong here, or a fast learner)
Work on a highly impactful product that users love!
