Amcor is looking for an Operations Director for its Sélestat facility to oversee operations and drive improvements. In this critical role, you will manage a team of around 300 employees, focusing on defining and executing the operational strategy for production and maintenance to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

Amcor Flexibles Sélestat, specialized in the production of aluminum‑based flexible packaging for the pharmaceutical and food industries, employs more than 450 people, generates annual revenue exceeding €170 million, and produces more than 126 million m² of packaging materials.

As part of a replacement, the site is recruiting an Operations Director. Reporting directly to the Site Director, you will be responsible for defining the operational strategy (Production and Maintenance) to achieve the annual business plan (budget) and continuously improve operational performance in order to serve our customers in terms of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop operational teams (scope of approximately 300 employees, including 3 Production Managers) by setting objectives, developing capabilities, and driving collective performance.
  • Ensure operational excellence by strengthening safety, quality, and industrial performance standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), lead action plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across Production and Maintenance.
  • Optimize the use of human, technical, and financial resources to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Define and manage maintenance budgets, while anticipating equipment needs to ensure the long‑term sustainability and competitiveness of the business through investment plans.
  • Actively contribute to the deployment of the site’s transformation and continuous improvement program (IWS), ensuring operational excellence through enhanced safety, quality, and industrial performance standards.
Your Profile
  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification (Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related field).
  • Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in a similar leadership role within a demanding process manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading industrial transformation programs.
  • Professional English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
