Description du poste

We're hiring our first Operations Manager, focused on Content Production and Workflows!

About Hypocampus

At Hypocampus, we’re transforming how students learn. We’re proud of our profitability, strong NPS, and organic growth driven by product excellence rather than heavy marketing spend. As we expand and scale, we're looking to strengthen our operations, especially in the content operations.

Hypocampus is a fast‑growing edtech platform supporting medical students and doctors across Europe. Our value lies in both our technology and the quality of the educational content produced by a network of medical editors in France, Sweden, and Italy.

Role overview

We are looking for our first Content Operations Manager to build and own the operational backbone behind one of Hypocampus’s most critical functions: content production. With a growing team of medical editors across France, Sweden, and Italy, our ability to deliver high‑quality, reliable, and up‑to‑date medical content at scale is central to our product and to the trust users place in us.

In this role, you will design, improve, and maintain the systems that ensure our editors can work efficiently, focus on the right priorities, and consistently meet quality, speed, and cost expectations. You’ll streamline workflows, optimise tooling and data reliability, and remove operational bottlenecks so that our editors can fully dedicate themselves to producing world‑class educational material. You will partner closely with our Pedagogical and Product teams to create a content pipeline that is structured, scalable across markets, and continuously improving.

This role is perfect for someone who loves turning chaos into clarity—someone energized by building processes, optimizing workflows, making complex systems run smoothly, and seeing the impact they do. As we continue to expand across multiple countries and segments, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how Hypocampus scales its most essential asset: the quality and efficiency of the content that powers the learning of future clinicians.

Responsibilities
Administrative & People Operations
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, coordination, and offboarding of our editors team.
  • Maintain clarity and consistency around expectations, workflows, and deliverables for editors across France, Sweden, and Italy.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll and hour verification, ensuring alignment with deliverables.
Improve Tools & Workflows
  • Map and document existing workflows and identify friction points in the content operations.
  • Test, benchmark, and help integrate new tools that improve our content operations, and automate manual or repetitive tasks using AI, no‑code tools (Zapier, Make, etc.), scripts or integrations across systems (Trello, Linear, Slack, etc.).
  • Share structured and prioritised feedback to the Product team to enhance the Editor Product.
  • Ensure adoption and consistency of newly implemented processes.
Strengthen Quality & Efficiency Monitoring
  • Help design and refine systems to track quality, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Analyse operational costs and quality metrics to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Validate staffing needs per content project and make sure the content team is functioning strongly.
  • Work closely with our Pedagogical team and Product Team to ensure high quality and make sure our Pedagogical principles are followed in all countries.
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Skills
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
  • Strong first relevant experiences (operations, content management, workflow optimisation, or similar).
  • Tech‑savvy and comfortable testing tools, identifying better solutions, and implementing automations.
  • Experience or eagerness to explore automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or other no‑code tools. Advanced prompting skills are a plus.
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication skills, with empathy and active listening.
  • Fluent in English. Fluent in French is a strong plus.
  • Location in Paris (France), or Gothenburg (Sweden).
Mindset
  • Curious, solution‑oriented and proactive; someone who challenges the status quo and is not afraid to explore alternatives.
  • Able to balance strategic conversations with tactical, on‑the‑ground action.
  • Self‑driven and able to manage priorities.
  • Structured and analytical.
  • Able to work collaboratively across teams, especially with Product and Pedagogical stakeholders.
What We Offer
  • A central role in improving how we deliver high‑quality medical content at scale.
  • The opportunity to build and shape our first official Operations role, in an expanding organization.
  • Flexible, collaborative work environment.
  • A diverse, international network of contributors and cross‑border collaboration.
  • A mission‑driven environment focused on supporting medical education.
