Job Title: Onsite Helpdesk Field Engineer (Freelance / On-Demand / Fractional Consulting)

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure as and when tickets are raised.
  • Perform hardware installation, replacement, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
  • Handle cabling tasks including installation, termination, labelling, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, and hardware issues.
  • Coordinate with remote support teams for diagnostics, guidance, and task execution.
  • Support data centre operations such as patching, racking / stacking, and equipment configuration.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of hardware, networking, cabling, and data centre environments.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise technical and cabling tasks.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments and availability to respond to tickets on an as‑needed basis.

Note: This is a freelance / on‑demand position, suitable for engineers who are available for a certain number of hours per month based on client‑reported ticket demands.
