Job summary

Saur Services (Glasgow) Ltd is seeking a Welder-Fitter to install, repair and maintain drinking water and wastewater networks on site. You will weld and assemble mechanical and hydraulic equipment, ensuring compliance with standards and safety guidelines.

Proficiency in TIG, MIG and arc welding, plus reading technical drawings, is required. Certification in electrical/CACES/CATEC is a plus; strong hydraulics knowledge is a plus. On-site role with travel within France often expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in boiler making and welding.
• Experience in piping or public works preferred.
• Proficiency in welding processes TIG, MIG, and arc.
• Knowledge of safety standards and certifications (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform welding on site or in the workshop.
• Install and assemble mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical/hydraulic failures.
• Repair and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect, test, and commission installations.
• Comply with hygiene, safety, and environmental rules on site.
• Report to management on the condition of installations.
• Draft intervention reports to document the work carried out.
