Job summary

Nautilus Dynamics in Nice, France, seeks an experienced structural engineer to lead offshore steelwork scopes from concept to fabrication. You will guide load paths, develop FE models and ensure checks against strength, fatigue and connections while coordinating with hydrodynamics and installation engineers.

Work with CAD and fabrication teams, mentor colleagues, and contribute to proposals and project coordination in an international offshore context.

Qualifications

Degree in structural, civil, mechanical or offshore engineering with steel structures experience.
Proficient in FE analysis with Femap/Nastran or ANSYS and independent checks.
Strong knowledge of load paths, fatigue, connections, fabrication constraints.
Ability to communicate design decisions in technical English.

Responsibilities

Lead structural scopes for offshore steelwork, subsea equipment and EPCI packages.
Establish the design basis, load cases and analysis strategy with hydrodynamics/installation teams.
Develop and review FE models; assess strength, buckling, fatigue, connections and bolts.
Keep calculations and CAD deliverables aligned from concept to fabrication.
Discuss details with suppliers and fabrication teams; resolve technical queries.
Review deliverables, mentor colleagues and develop checking methods.
Contribute to proposals, scope definition and client coordination.
