Anotech is seeking an Offshore Data Processor to manage multibeam survey data processing for a major offshore energy project in Europe. You will ensure data accuracy, quality, and full traceability, delivering reliable survey results under project standards.

The role covers processing, formatting, and reporting survey data (multibeam), with on/offshore work in regular rotation. It is 100% offshore with a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off schedule and a minimum 1-year assignment start ASAP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years in offshore data processing or related field.
  • Proficiency in Eiva NaviEdit and NaviModel.
  • Certifications: BOSIET (OPITO), CAEBS, and a valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory).

Responsabilités

  • Assist in installation of survey and positioning software systems.
  • Support Offshore Surveyors in sensor calibrations and checks.
  • Install, configure, and network data processing systems with online systems and data archiving.
  • Monitor data flow, storage, format, and quality.
  • Process, format, and generate reports from acquired survey data.
  • Prepare and verify project databases and reference files.
  • Ensure proper implementation of project geodetic parameters in data processing and mapping procedures.
  • Assess progress and report issues including remeasurements or infill surveys.
  • Ensure survey data is stored with backups and traceability records.
  • Perform quality control on all processed datasets per acceptance criteria.
  • Predict tide levels using harmonic constituents and tidal data.
  • Compile survey reports with the Survey team.
  • Provide a final detailed report on data issues and solutions.
  • Review charts, deliverables, and field reports as needed.
  • Monitor real-time data acquisition with the Online Surveyor.

A major offshore energy infrastructure project is underway in Europe, supporting the transition toward low-carbon and renewable energy solutions.

To support this project, an Offshore Data Processor is required to manage multibeam survey data processing and ensure the accuracy, quality, and traceability of all acquired data. This role is critical for delivering reliable survey results in offshore operations.

Position Overview

The Offshore Data Processor will be responsible for processing, formatting, and reporting survey data, including multibeam data, in compliance with project requirements. This role can be performed offshore or in the office, with a preference for offshore work in a regular rotation system. This role is based 100% offshore with a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks and the mission is expected to last a minimum of 1 year, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
Data Processing & Quality Control
  • Assist in the installation of survey and positioning software systems.
  • Support Offshore Surveyors in performing sensor calibrations and checks.
  • Install, configure, and network data processing systems with online systems, printers, and data archiving systems.
  • Monitor data flow, storage, format, and quality.
  • Process, format, and generate reports from acquired survey data according to project requirements.
  • Prepare and verify project databases and reference files, ensuring the latest versions are used.
Geodetic & Technical Compliance
  • Ensure proper implementation of project geodetic parameters in data processing and mapping procedures.
  • Assess work progress and report potential issues, including the need for remeasurements or infill surveys.
  • Ensure survey data is stored appropriately with backups and maintain traceability records.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Perform quality control on all processed datasets according to project acceptance criteria.
  • Predict tide levels using harmonic constituents and tidal data.
  • Compile comprehensive survey reports in collaboration with the Survey team.
  • Provide a final detailed report on all data issues encountered and solutions implemented.
  • Review and verify all charts, digital deliverables, and field reports as needed.
  • Monitor real-time data acquisition in coordination with the Online Surveyor.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in offshore data processing or related fields.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Eiva NaviEdit and NaviModel software.
  • Certifications: BOSIET (OPITO), CAEBS, and a valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
  • Language: Fluent in English (mandatory).
