OECD is seeking a qualified nurse to provide staff healthcare in Paris, including treatments, emergencies, and referrals to medical specialists or hospitals. You will manage medical records, coordinate appointments, and oversee the on-site medical hub and supplies.

The role requires a French-recognised nursing diploma and at least three years of nursing experience, with knowledge of emergency procedures and a strong command of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Nursing diploma recognised in France (France, EU/EEA or British).
  • At least three years' nursing experience; experience in private sector or international organisation is an asset.
  • Experience in managing medical emergencies and knowledge of medical procedures in France.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems rapidly.
  • Knowledge of Preventiel®, UeGAR® and/or Kenora® medical software would be an asset.

Responsabilités

  • Assess emergencies and take appropriate action, inform doctor or request EMS (Paris BSPP/SAMU).
  • Promote good health through information and pedagogical tools and support prevention programmes.
  • Participate in health and safety at the workplace and coordinate with health/technical services.
  • Monitor and assist with onsite medical supplies and first-aid data; support Medical and Social Hub administration.

Main responsibilities

Nursing care

  • Administer medical treatment prescribed for staff as directed by the Organisation’s doctor, within the limits imposed by the law governing professional treatment and the nursing profession, including injections, vaccinations, dressings, drawing blood samples, vision tests, hearing tests, urine tests, electrocardiograms and miscellaneous treatments. This may also involve giving advice and orientating the staff to medical specialists or to hospital.
Administrative activities
  • Assist with administrative tasks relating to staff medical records and various appointments.
  • Proactively manage the generic email account in coordination with other members of the medical team.
Emergencies
  • Assess the seriousness of the situation and take appropriate action, including providing immediate treatment, informing the doctor or requesting assistance from the emergency medical services in Paris (BSPP/SAMU).
  • Treat the individual(s) in question or evacuate them in accordance with the protocol established for the Medical service by the doctor.
Promoting good health
  • Help to inform the Organisation's staff about good health practices by responding to individual requests and preparing pedagogical tools (such as open discussions, memoranda and e-mails) on selected medical topics.
  • Support and participate in the Organisation’s prevention programmes (i.e. cancer screening, dental hygiene, etc.) in co-operation with other units actively promoting good health both within and outside the Organisation.
Health and safety in the workplace
  • Participate in related activities in this area. Liaise with the health and technical services on problems involving office layout and workstations, in accordance with the directives of the doctor and/or the person in charge of workplace health and safety. Direct staff members to specialised facilities as required.
Resource management
  • Monitor and assist with the management of onsite medical supplies, the contents of first-aid kits and the data in electronic records. Contribute to the administrative work of the Medical and Social Hub.
Ideal candidate profile
Academic experience
  • A nursing diploma recognised in France (French, or recognised in the European Economic Area (EU and EFTA), or British.
Professional Experience
  • At least three years' nursing experience. Experience in a private sector company or international organisation would be an asset.
  • Proven experience in in managing medical emergencies, and a good knowledge of medical procedures and practical arrangements in the medical field in France.
Tools
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems rapidly.
  • Knowledge of Preventiel®, UeGAR® and/or Kenora® medical software would be an asset.

Languages
  • Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
  • Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.

Contract Duration
  • One-year contract, with the possibility of renewal.
  • Ideal start date: 04 January 2027.
Salary Information
  • Salary and conditions will depend on the status (temporary staff or official) of the successful candidate.
  • For temporary staff, the salary starts at EUR 3070.
