Job summary

Baystate Health is looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its Noninvasive Stress Testing team in Springfield, MA. You will perform diverse nuclear medicine procedures, from patient scans to hot lab duties, while mentoring students and communicating with the care team.

Ideal candidates hold NMTCB or ARRT certification and BLS, with a demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and deliver compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of NMTCB or ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of general nuclear medicine, cardiac, and therapeutic procedures according to policy.
• Proficiently perform patient scans across diverse age groups and quality control tasks.
• Identify potential problems and escalate to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Handle hot lab duties including kit prep, wipe testing, dosage assays, and waste disposal.
• Mentor and guide enrolled students in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with technologists, radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff, upholding professional standards.
