A leading research institution in France is seeking a Researcher to develop in vivo imaging techniques and conduct experiments to explore motor cortex functions. Candidates should have a strong background in biophotonics, neuroscience, and programming for data analysis, as well as regulatory training in animal experimentation. This full-time position is under a temporary contract expected to start in April 2026.

Development of 1P and 2P miniscope imaging in vivo and implementation and conduct of miniscope experiments in animals to understand the role of the motor cortex and its subcortical motor partners (STN, basal ganglia, spinal cord, etc.) in motor planning.
Created on 1 January 2011, the Interdisciplinary Institute for Neuroscience (IINS) is a joint research unit affiliated with the CNRS and the University of Bordeaux. With 170 staff members divided into 12 teams, IINS combines multidisciplinary expertise to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in brain activity. The Institute develops innovative methods in imaging, chemistry, physiology and computer science.
