Qualifications

Position Summary:

MISTRAS Group SAS is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector / NDT Technician (Contrôleur CND / CNDA) to join its Vénissieux, France agency. The position supports the company's expanding activities and involves performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities for maintenance and manufacturing applications at customer sites.

Depending on the individual's experience, certifications, and training, the NDT Inspector will perform inspections using Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, and Ultrasonic Testing methods. The role also involves equipment management, test and intervention documentation, and preparation of technical reports and results records.

The position offers opportunities to develop additional skills in advanced NDT methods and work across sectors including petrochemical, naval, wind energy, and manufacturing/workshop environments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform NDT inspections for maintenance and manufacturing activities according to qualifications, certifications, and training.
• Conduct Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
• Manage NDT equipment and inspection materials.
• Maintain test and intervention documentation.
• Prepare technical reports and inspection results records.
• Perform technical services at customer sites.
• Work across sectors including petrochemical, naval, wind energy, and manufacturing/workshop environments.
• Perform all activities in accordance with company quality and safety procedures.

Develop additional NDT capabilities in methods such as:

• Phased Array.
• TOFD.
• Guided Waves.
• IRIS.
• Eddy Current Testing.
• Remote Field Testing.
• ACFM.
• MFL.
• Acoustic Emission Testing.
• Leak Testing.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Technical training or technical education.
• Approximately 5 years of initial experience performing NDT inspections.
• One or more COFREND Level 2 certifications, preferably in UT, PT, MT, or related methods.
• Rope access training such as IRATA, CASTC, or CQP is an additional advantage.
• Strong professional conduct and interpersonal skills.
• High level of rigor and attention to detail.
• Strong sense of responsibility.
• Good written communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong capacity and willingness to learn and develop additional NDT skills.
• Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for short-duration assignments within France and internationally.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Ability to work at customer sites.
• Ability to comply with company quality and safety procedures.
