Mercor is hiring experienced music producers and audio engineers to evaluate generative music AI models, in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will assess AI-generated music across genres and rate it against detailed quality standards, working in Hungarian and English.

Start date is immediate with duration up to 6 months. Most experts work around 20 hours per week; compensation is hourly, with potential shift to per-task while keeping the same effective rate.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Hungarian with ability to follow English instructions.
• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Responsabilités

• Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics.
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy.

You will assess AI-generated music across a wide range of genres and rate it against detailed quality standards, working in Hungarian and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality

• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics

• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Hungarian, and the ability to follow detailed written instructions in English

• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer

• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening

Nice to have

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition

• Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work

• Broad familiarity with contemporary Hungarian genres, sub-genres, and artists

Project Timeline

• Start date: immediate

• Duration: up to 6 months

• Commitment: flexible. Most experts work around 20 hours per week; there is no cap

• Compensation: this role is currently paid hourly. The pay structure may move to per-task during the project; if it does, your effective hourly rate will stay the same.
