Job summary

Redon Town Hall is seeking a Road Maintenance Worker – Heavy Equipment Operator for a one-year fixed-term contract. The role involves operating backhoe loaders, flail mowers, and other heavy machinery to perform municipal road maintenance, including asphalt paving and culvert installation.

Candidates must hold B and C licences, EC preferred, and CACES R482 A and C1 with F preferred. Must be organized, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Must hold B and C driving licences, EC preferred.
• CACES R482 categories A and C1 required; F preferred.
• Technical knowledge of road construction and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including backhoe loaders, flail mowers, heavy goods vehicles, mini-compactors, and mini-excavators.
• Prepare and carry out municipal road maintenance such as earthworks, network work, and asphalt paving.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment; set up police, detour and construction-site signage.
• Support other municipal services as needed.
