Airbus UpNext SAS is seeking a professional to lead systems design and development within the High Aspect Ratio Wing Demonstrator program. The role is based in Cazaux with flight tests and occasional travel to Toulouse, working within an international project team and close cooperation with engineering and management groups.

The candidate should have 5+ years in systems design, a solid grasp of interfaces management, MAP experience, and a proactive, autonomous mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems design and development.
• Strong understanding of interfaces management and system installation.
• Experience with MAP is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Define carrier A/C systems modification (ATA27-ATA34, etc.).
• Support interfaces definition and system installation.
• Assist implementation of carrier A/C system modifications by the industrial team.
• Support ground and flight tests; deliver and execute test procedures.

Job Description:

With the development of future Airbus programs accelerating, Airbus UpNext is launching the High Aspect Ratio Wing Demonstrator. This high-stakes R&T flight platform has a dual mission: deliver flight-proven breakthroughs directly to future Airbus programs, and inject game-changing ideas to reshape how Airbus Commercial builds aircraft for the next 30 years.

Based in Toulouse (Saint Martin) within a flat, fast-paced project organization, this role requires close collaboration with the program management team and technical work package leaders.

Based in Cazaux where the working party and flight tests will take place and with occasional traveling to Toulouse where the design team is located, this position comes with limited contract (CDI-C) linked to the deliverable of the demo ( estimated end date - end of July 2029), starting ASAP .

Missions

• Carrier A/C systems modification definition (ATA27, ATA29, ATA30, ATA31, ATA34,...)
• Support systems interfaces definition
• Support systems installation
• Support the implementation of the carrier A/C systems modifications performed by the industrial team
• Support ground and flight tests for all Systems: deliver test procedures and perform tests
• Act as MAP Systems focal point

The tasks may evolve during the course of the project, so being flexible is important.

Your Boarding Pass:

• At least 5 years experience in the systems design and development
• A good understanding of systems interfaces management and systems installation
• MAP experience
• Able to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working
• Have good skills in practical problem solving
• Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability
• Enjoying working in an international, diverse and geographically located team
• Sharing the values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy
• English is mandatory
• Eager to step out of the comfort zone

The successful candidate will be required to work very closely with various other groups, like systems installation, FTI, industrial and A/C manager.
