About The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing special-purpose machines for machining, welding, metrology, non‑destructive testing, and/or handling activities. You will report to the Product Manager and be located at Marseille.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the definition of tooling concepts during the bidding phase.
• Conduct feasibility and detailed studies.
• Perform CAD design and mechanical sizing.
• Select materials and electromechanical components.
• Produce assembly drawings, detailed drawings, and bills of materials.
• Create intervention sequence plans and handling plans.
• Write design, qualification, and implementation documentation for tooling.
• Participate in workshop acceptance tests, development, and qualification of tooling.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in general or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• 0 to 10 years of experience in design or manufacturing projects.
• Passion for mechanics and special-purpose machinery.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize information.
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of EUROCODES; familiarity with the Machinery Directive is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in the nuclear field and RCC‑M regulations are appreciated.
