Saint-Gobain is running a major transformation program to deploy a unified SAP S/4HANA Core Model across countries, harmonizing business processes, and establishing a single source of truth for all operational master data. Within this context, the Master Data Governance Expert will join the EMEA Material Data Office and play a key role in shaping and securing the material data model across PIM and S/4HANA.

The role focuses on defining and validating master data specifications, ensuring accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience, at least 5 years, in master data management, data modeling, and data governance.
• Strong knowledge of S4Hana (Master data) or PIM and master data management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead data lifecycle governance workshops with local teams and identify remediation actions.
• Ensure deployment and testing of master data processes in MDG and related tools.
• Define and validate master data specifications for product and material objects in S/4HANA and PIM.
• Safeguard accuracy and consistency of product and material data across systems.
• Document and enrich data models, data dictionary, business rules, quality rules, and value lists.
• Support data profiling, cleansing, and migration activities for multiple countries.
• Coordinate with country data teams to define roles in master data governance.
• Provide expertise in data governance and data quality management.

Job Summary

Saint‑Gobain is running a major transformation program to deploy a unified SAP S/4HANA Core Model across countries. The objective is to harmonize business processes, simplify the application landscape, and establish a single source of truth for all operational master data.

Within this context, the Master Data Governance Expert will join the EMEA Material Data Office and play a key role in shaping and securing the material data model across PIM and S/4HANA. The role focuses on defining and validating master data specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistency for all product and material types (sold materials, raw materials, semifinished products, spare parts), and supporting data quality and migration activities across countries in project and run mode.

The Master Data Governance Expert will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to validate transversal modelization, lead data lifecycle governance, and contribute to data profiling, cleansing, and migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead workshops with local teams to adopt data lifecycle workflows, identify gaps, and propose remediation actions.
• Ensure proper deployment and testing of master data processes in MDG and related tools.
• Define and validate master data specifications for product and material objects in S/4HANA and PIM.
• Safeguard the accuracy and consistency of product and material data across systems.
• Document & enrich data models for S/4HANA and PIM, including data dictionary, business rules, quality rules, and controlled value lists.
• Support data profiling, cleansing, and migration activities for France, Germany, and upcoming rollouts as well as live countries.
• Coordinate with country data teams to define roles and responsibilities in master data governance.
• Provide expertise in data governance, master data processes, and data quality management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience, at least 5 years, in master data management, data modeling, and data governance.
• Strong knowledge of S4Hana (Master master) or PIM, and master data management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.
• Experience with SAP-MDG, STIBO or Collibra
• Proficiency in data profiling tools.
