Almaco Group Oy in France is seeking a Designer (GAL & PS) to join our team in our France office, ideally starting in September, and help shape functional, high-quality galley and provision store solutions for our projects.

You will work hands-on with technical drawings and documentation, collaborating with design, engineering, and project teams, as well as with external partners such as shipyards and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for producing mechanical drawings.
• Basic understanding of 3D design tools.
• Good understanding of technical/mechanical design principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilités

• Create and develop designs.
• Produce accurate technical drawings in line with project requirements, standards, and specifications.
• Develop detailed component and layout drawings for galley and provision store areas.
• Ensure high quality and consistency across all technical documentation.
• Review drawings from shipyards and subcontractors and suggest improvements when needed.
• Work closely with Design Assistants to ensure correct technical data in equipment and material lists.
• Collaborate with project team members to align design with scope and requirements.
• Proactively highlight design changes that may impact costs, timelines, or scope.
• Ensure deliverables meet agreed standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Evaluate design changes throughout the project lifecycle and assess their impact.
• Provide input for equipment and material lists and maintain documentation.
