Job summary

Athletic Club du Lyonnais in Lyon is seeking a part-time Track and Field Coach to plan and deliver daily training sessions for athletes across disciplines, focusing on technical skills, strength, conditioning and performance development. The role is on-site and requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to fit competition schedules.

You will create individualized plans, monitor progress, prepare athletes for events, ensure safe use of facilities, and collaborate with club staff

Qualifications

• Expertise in Track and Field disciplines with experience designing training programs.
• Proven coaching skills with athletes of varying ages and performance levels.
• Effective communication with instruction, feedback, and motivation.
• Ability to plan and manage training sessions including periodization, warm-ups, cool-downs, and recovery protocols.
• Knowledge of injury prevention and safe training practices.
• Coaching certifications or licenses; degree in sports science or related field is an asset.
• On-site Lyon-based role with evenings and weekends as required by competition schedules.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment for all athletes and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily training sessions across track and field disciplines.
