Amentum France is seeking motivated Lifting and Handling Engineers to support the ITER Fusion Project from its Saint Paul les Durance offices. You will join an international team and contribute to high-profile, challenging tasks in the nuclear sector.

You will review lifting planning, carry out surveys, coordinate with contractors, and help implement safe lifting practices on site, reporting to the CMA Lifting & Handling Manager.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HND in mechanical discipline is required.
• Experience as lifting supervisor on major construction projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with lifting procedures and crane operations is essential.

Responsabilités

• Take direction from the CMA Lifting & Handling Manager.
• Review lifting planning documentation from contractors.
• Carry out lifting surveys and assess rigging practices.
• Assess crane setup areas with calculations.
• Coordinate with lifting & handling contractors and review contractor competence.
• Support the client in lifting & handling during constructability reviews.
• Ensure compliance with lifting site procedures and update them as needed.
• Develop strong relationships with HSE, Materials, and Logistics functions.
• Manage the Lifting Framework contract for mobile cranes and contract lifts.
• Coordinate with CMA Construction Team and Workface planner on site activities.
• Provide technical input on lifting during design phases.

Your responsibilities:

Takes direction from and interacts directly with the CMA Lifting & Handling Manager.

Responsible for reviewing technical content of contractors lift planning documentation.

Carry out lifting surveys for contractors with assessments on rigging best practices.

Assess crane set up areas with calculations

Liaising with lifting & handling contractors and peer review of contractors competence.

Aid client with respect to Lifting & Handling during constructability review sessions.

Ensure compliance with and reviewing/updating Lifting & Handling site procedures.

Form strong relationships with the HSE, Materials and Logistics functions.

Manage and coordinate the Lifting Framework contract for mobile cranes and contract lifts.

Liaises with CMA Construction Team including Workface planner to Coordinates with the other site activities.

Provide the client with technical knowledge at the design phase to help better implement lifting and handling techniques.

Your profile:

Engineering Degree/HND or similar in Mechanical discipline

xperience of working as Lifting supervisor in major construction projects.

Qualified as Lifting Supervisor following a recognised standard.

Cognisance of different cultural requirements and behaviours.

Proficient in Microsoft office software

Knowledge of all types of cranes and lifting equipment
