Library of Congress in Washington, DC is seeking a Library Technician (Deck Attendant) to maintain and shelve serial and government publications, assist researchers, and ensure accurate handling of materials during public service hours.

The role requires precision under time constraints, ability to work with researchers, and familiarity with Library systems such as the LC ILS. Salary is GS-04 with potential for GS-05 promotion; full-time with flexitime.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, service and shel ve collections in the Division during hours of public service.
• Retrieve materials for researchers and shelve serial collections.
• Use LC ILS and other online systems to manage materials.
• Interact effectively with researchers and other users of the Newspaper and Current Periodical Reading Room.
