Job summary

Bouygues Travaux Publics is seeking an experienced Tunnel Package Design Manager to lead the multidisciplinary design of the Lower Thames Crossing Tunnel Package in Paris-based coordination.

This senior role involves directing design teams, managing interfaces across civil, structural, geotechnical, M&E and tunnel systems, and delivering a rigorous design aligned with programme requirements.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10–15 years' professional experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong understanding of interfaces between civil, structural, geotechnical, M&E and systems.
• Proven client-facing capability to present technical designs and risks to senior stakeholders.
• Fluent English; working level French in a Paris-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the multidisciplinary design of the Lower Thames Crossing Tunnel Package.
• Coordinate the design of two bored road tunnels, cross passages and underground structures.
• Directly manage the Paris-based DT design team, providing leadership and direction.
• Present the developing design to the client and secure review, acceptance and sign-off.
• Identify and manage design risks with mitigation and resolution.
