Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space SAS is seeking a System Safety Engineer to support the Aircraft Development Safety team based in Toulouse, France. You will lead SSA activities for military aircraft systems, define safety requirements and support certification processes to ensure airworthiness across development phases.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will interface with maintenance, human factors, aircraft performance, structures and quality, applying advanced safety analyses and risk

Qualifications

Background in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Experience in safety analysis and interfaces with airworthiness or certification processes.
Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Isograph FaultTree+ is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee SSA activities for military aircraft systems across development phases.
Perform systematic examinations of system functions to identify and classify potential failure conditions by severity.
Execute advanced safety analyses including Common-Cause Analysis and Common Mode Analysis to mitigate systemic risks.
Define and manage safety requirements at the interfaces between interacting systems.
Support certification by providing safety evidence to Airworthiness Authorities.
