Jobtailor in France is seeking an experienced Python developer to lead technical design and delivery on data and AI projects. You will shape architecture, coach teams, and ensure robust code quality across solutions.

You will guide projects from scoping through delivery, collaborate with clients and business teams, and advance Python practices with Pandas, PySpark, FastAPI, and Docker in a data-centric environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Python development.
• At least 2 years of initial experience in technical leadership.
• Strong command of development practices: design, code quality, testing, and industrialization.
• Ability to explain, share knowledge, and help teams grow.
• Comfortable communicating about technical topics with developers, business teams, and clients.
• Experience in data, AI, or scientific research environments.
• Strong knowledge of the Python ecosystem for data processing and analysis: Pandas, NumPy, PySpark.
• Strong command of a Python web framework (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) for API design.
• Knowledge of databases suited to data use cases: PostgreSQL, PostGIS.
• Experience with data visualization and exploration tools: Streamlit, Plotly, Dash.
• Experience with software industrialization and delivery practices: Git, CI/CD, Docker.
• Curiosity about emerging use cases involving AI-assisted development and new tools.

Responsabilités

• Design and support the implementation of Python solutions from scoping through delivery.
• Define technical decisions and contribute to architecture design.
• Ensure the quality of developed solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to teams through code reviews, best-practice sharing, coaching, and knowledge transfer.
• Support the design of solutions incorporating data processing or AI use cases when they deliver value.
• Establish and continuously improve Python-related technical practices across the agency and the group.
• Identify technical challenges, propose appropriate solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients: present options, challenge requirements, and support technical decision-making.
• Work on projects in the public sector, healthcare, ecological transition, and research.
