Inria, the French national institute for research in digital science and technology, hosts the Software Heritage project and seeks an experienced Ops engineer to develop and scale our infrastructure at the CINES site. You will maintain the Software Heritage stack, automate deployments, and design evolutions of the infrastructure for the next five years.

We value hands-on Linux system administration, Kubernetes experience, and collaboration with open source communities.

Qualificações

• Solid Linux experience in production environments.
• Experience with networking and hardware management (servers, storage, switches).
• Experience with Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration.
• Experience with configuration management technologies such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
• Experience with scalable storage (Ceph, cloud-based blob, ZFS, Swift).
• Programming experience in Python or other languages.
• Good level of English (written and spoken).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Installation, supervision and maintenance of the Software Heritage infrastructure.
• Platform deployment and automation.
• Support and troubleshooting.
• Active participation in team life.
• Progress monitoring and reporting on assigned projects.
• Interaction with Open Source communities and Software Heritage partners.
