Wärtsilä in Surgères seeks a Team Leader Mechanical Engineer for a permanent role. You will lead obsolescence surveys, manage improvement projects and coordinate with multiple departments to meet milestones. You will also prepare customer reports and drive technical bulletins.

We expect 10+ years in a rigorous industrial setting, strong leadership, and fluency in French and English. Travel up to 20% and a solid IT tools skill set are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• 5 years' higher education or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum 10 years in normative stringent industrial environment.
• Experience in management role.
• Excellent French and English communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsabilités

• Manage obsolescence survey and identify obsolete parts.
• Launch obsolescence resolution or product improvements projects.
• Prepare and present obsolescence survey reports to Customers.
• Manage Technical Requests from creation to closure.
• Write Technical Bulletins for obsolescence declaration and resolution.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, and Technical teams.
• Monitor and report project progress to Line Manager.
• Lead Mechanical Engineers and dispatch workload.
