Job summary

Air Apps seeks a Mobile Software Architect to lead scalable iOS architecture for our AI-powered PRP suite. This role emphasizes iOS with cross-functional Android knowledge, collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver robust mobile systems.

In this strategic leadership position, you will define architecture, establish coding standards, mentor engineers, and guide API/SDK design as we scale to millions of users globally. Onsite with relocation options.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of mobile development experience with an architectural mindset.
• Deep expertise in iOS development using Swift (Obj-C knowledge a plus).
• Solid understanding of UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, and modern iOS frameworks.
• Experience with app performance optimization, modularization, and offline-first strategies.
• Familiarity with Android development (Kotlin/Java) is a strong plus.
• Experience integrating with APIs, mobile data storage, caching, and background tasks.
• Knowledge of App Store submission, mobile security, and compliance guidelines.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment automation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain architectural concepts to technical and non-technical teammates.
• Passion for clean code, design patterns (MVVM, VIPER) and scalable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the mobile architecture strategy across projects.
• Focus on iOS architecture, libraries, and platform-specific patterns.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to align with product goals.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and performance guidelines.
• Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on refactoring and scaling.
• Design APIs, SDKs, and modular components for reuse.
• Guide decisions around third-party libraries, tooling, and pipelines.
• Partner with backend and cloud teams for seamless integration.
• Stay current with trends in mobile architecture, performance, and security.
• Mentor mobile engineers to elevate technical proficiency.
