Jobtailor in France seeks a senior embedded software architect to maintain and evolve a legacy C/C++ product and design the next generation. You will understand the current architecture to prepare transitions and develop the new core in embedded Java.

You will contribute to security decisions, apply Secure by Design, mentor a second developer, and become the technical lead for the product, shaping its future direction and architecture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in C/C++, embedded Java, or similar software architectures.
• 5+ years' experience in evolving a software product.
• Experience with industrial software and embedded systems.
• Proficient in C; familiarity with embedded Java or Rust.
• Application of Secure by Design principles.
• Authorized to work in France.
• Degree or training in embedded systems and electronics is a plus.
• Experience with Rust or embedded architectures on Linux is an asset.
