Job summary

Intertek Italia seeks a Subject Matter Expert in 3D laser scanning and digital twin services. You will establish, lead, and grow end-to-end reality capture offerings across European and UK markets, combining hands-on delivery with commercial acumen.

The role defines procedures, selects equipment, integrates outputs into BIM/digital twin ecosystems, and supports business development through client engagement and industry networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in 3D laser scanning or reality capture.
• Strong understanding of BIM and digital twin platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve 3D laser scanning and reality capture service offerings.
• Define SOPs, quality standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Select, test, and deploy hardware (terrestrial/mobile/UAV scanners) and supporting equipment.
• Evaluate, optimize processing and modeling software for point clouds, mesh generation, and BIM integration.
• Ensure data accuracy, cybersecurity, and compliance with industry standards.
• Integrate scanning outputs with BIM, asset mgmt, GIS, and digital twin platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams for interoperability and scalable architectures.
• Support development of use cases like asset verification and lifecycle management.
• Assist in pricing strategies, go-to-market positioning, and market trends.
