A leading data centre provider is seeking a French Legal Counsel to provide legal support for Data Centre projects in Paris. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, managing external counsel, and conducting legal research. The ideal candidate should have a Master’s degree in private contract law, fluent English, and 1-3 years of post-qualification experience. Strong organizational and drafting skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in both domestic and international projects.
We are looking for a French Legal Counsel to provide legal support to Colt DCS business focusing on the construction, development and operation of Data Centre projects in Paris with a good understanding of commercial real estate acquisition and related commercial transactions such as building contracts, consultancy agreements, as well as interconnected agreements including commercial T&C for supplier agreements, relevant aspects of sales agreements. English business language fluency is essential.
The candidate will be part of a wider DCS legal team and regulatory experts based in Paris. Candidates would be expected to work closely with the wider DCS legal team (headquartered in London) and local colleagues and to support Colt DCS French colleagues in the Development and Delivery Teams in each case building strong working relationships to ensure success. The role will also include liaising with customers, third party vendors and external counsel as well as with our Funders based in the US and will report to the Senior Legal Counsel for France . The successful candidate will be motivated and able to undertake significant responsibility.
The role will be mainly focused in dealing with matters in France and / or in French language but there would also be some involvement in international projects and related business activities in connection with the ownership and operation of Data Centres, investor demands and refinancing / restructuring.
