Job summary

Dioxycle in Paris is seeking a Junior Test Bench Engineer to design, assemble and troubleshoot automated electrolysis test benches and prototypes. You will apply mechanical, electrical, and software skills to support the operation of our electrolyzer test systems.

You will implement regulation loops for pressure, temperature and flow, contribute to the automation strategy, document results, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on rapid iteration and improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with combustion engine, fuel cell or electrolyzer-based systems.
• Experience building mechanical gas and liquid management systems.
• Experience with sensors and actuators for gas/liquid control.
• Ability to balance heat and perform calculations in fluid systems.
• Some Python or C++ programming is a plus.
• CAD tooling experience is beneficial.
• Professional English used in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Design, construction and improvement of end-to-end test benches (mechanical, electrical, software and process).
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of test benches including instrumentation and controls.
• Design electrolysis sub-systems using thermal and fluid calculations.
• Testing and validation of sub-systems with test protocols.
• Implementation and tuning of PID controllers.
• Documentation writing and cross-functional collaboration.
• Benchmark suppliers and manage inventory.

About Dioxycle

Dioxycle is pioneering breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency. Your Mission

Dioxycle is hiring a Junior Test Bench Engineer to take care of our electrolysis test benches and prototypes. As a Junior Test Bench Engineer, you will have a key hands‑on role designing, assembling, and troubleshooting automated test benches. You will apply mechanical, electrical, and software skills in your every day work, contributing to continued improvement and operation of our extensive electrolyzer test systems. You will implement different regulation loops for pressure, temperature, flow, etc, and, more generally, contribute to the definition of the automation strategy.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, construction and improvement of end-to-end test benches, including the mechanical, electrical, software and process parts
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of the test benches, including instrumentation and controls
• Design of the electrolysis sub-systems using thermal and fluid calculations
• Testing and validation of the sub-systems through the implementation of test protocols
• Implementation and tuning of PID controllers
• Writing of documentation
• Benchmark suppliers and contact them
• Maintain inventory and improve the inventory system

We are looking for a pragmatic, hands‑on, and versatile Test Bench Engineer who is dedicated to advancing our mission and possesses the skills outlined below.

Abilities and expertise we are looking for

• Having experience in combustion engine/fuel cell/ electrolyzer-based systems
• Mechanical gas and liquid management system building experience, including knowledge of relevant fitting types
• Experience with sensors and actuators for measurement and control of gases and liquids
• Realization of a heat balance
• Calculation of a pressure drop in a fluid line
• Coding of automation sequences in Python or C++ is a plus
• Experience using CAD programs is a plus
• Professional English as it is our daily work language
