Aerospacelab is seeking an engineer to design, implement, and validate 5G NR NTN components for satellite-linked networks. You will work closely with experienced engineers on deep-tech systems, bringing high-performance wireless communications to life.

Qualifications

• Academic or practical experience in telecommunications, embedded systems, or software engineering.
• Familiarity with 3GPP 5G specifications and protocol stack concepts.
• Programming skills in C/C++ or Rust.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement and validate 5G NR NTN gNB L2/L3 features according to 3GPP specifications.
• Develop Aerospacelab-specific enhancements.
• Build performance tests, unit tests, logging, and support infrastructure to ensure software quality.
• Deploy and validate software in lab and field environments, including satellite link emulation and hardware-in-the-loop systems.

Your Mission

We are building the future of 5G connectivity in space. As part of Aerospacelab, you will design, implement, and deploy 5G protocol stack components tailored for Non-Terrestrial Networks. You will work alongside experienced engineers to help bring high-performance wireless communication over satellite links to life.

Duties

• Design, implement and validate 5G NR NTN gNB L2/L3 features according to 3GPP specifications
• Develop Aerospacelab-specific enhancements
• Build performance tests, unit tests, logging, and support infrastructure to ensure software quality
• Deploy and validate software in lab and field environments, including satellite link emulation and hardware-in-the-loop systems

Must have

• Academic or practical experience in telecommunications, embedded systems, or software engineering
• Familiarity with 3GPP 5G specifications and protocol stack concepts
• Programming skills in C/C++ or Rust
• Eagerness to learn, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with DPDK for high-throughput data processing
• Experience in embedded software development
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot low-level system performance bottlenecks
• Exposure to 5G stack development
• Interest in satellite communications and NTN systems
