Description du poste

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Manager to join our finance team based in Malta. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is eager to develop practical experience within an international environment. You will work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate financial data, support daily operations, and contribute to the company’s overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the invoicing process and managing a portfolio of clients to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Collaborating with the commercial department to address customer billing queries and issues.
  • Monitoring outstanding invoices, following up with clients to ensure timely payments, and resolving any billing discrepancies.
  • Performing bookkeeping of company transactions in Xero, including journal postings, accruals, and payment entries.
  • Assisting in the preparation and processing of supplier payments and ensuring they are executed accurately and on time.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations and reconciling other financial data.
  • Supporting the Finance team in daily operations and month-end closing processes.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and documentation for management review.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
  • Performing additional duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements and skills
  • Based in Malta only
  • Previous experience in a finance and accounting role.
  • Diploma in finance or equivalent is considered an asset but candidates with equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Confident user of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience with using Xero is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
