IDEMIA Public Security is seeking a young hardware design engineer with up to 3 years of experience to translate product needs into robust specifications and to design architecture for mechanical parts and electronics.

You will oversee prototypes, certification processes, sub-system integration, and qualification of hardware designs, while writing technical guidance and coordinating with researchers, engineers and customer representatives.

Qualifications

• Young graduate up to 3 years of experiences in hardware design
• Translates product needs into technical specifications
• Experience in hardware and electronics subsystem design

Responsabilités

• Designs product architecture corresponding to technical specifications
• Oversees or carries out 3D and 2D drawings (for mechanical parts), schematics placement and layouts (for electronics designs)
• Oversees prototypes manufacturing & oversees certifications of products
• Carries out integration of sub-systems, qualification and validation of hardware design
• Writes technical guidance
• Coordinates with stakeholders to solve design and development issues
• Owns responsibility of the design and the development of equipment, processes and sub-systems
• Determines feasibility from technical and economic perspectives
• Coordinates and consults with research engineers or scientists and customer representatives to resolve design problems
• Contributes to the planning and execution of projects
