Alteia is seeking a talented and passionate Junior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines specializing in complex geospatial and 3D data. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our enterprise clients.
🏗️ Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of complex data, particularly geospatial and 3D datasets.
☁️ Work with cloud‑native solutions to analyse massive datasets efficiently
🚀 Contribute to the continuous improvement of our machine learning engineering practices.
📊 Troubleshoot and resolve data‑related issues in a timely manner.
🎓 Education: Background in programming, mathematics, and algorithms (Master's degree level/M2 or equivalent).
🐍 Python Proficiency: Mastery of Python, particularly scientific libraries (Numpy, Pandas, OpenCV, Scikit-Learn, etc.).
🧊 Computer Vision & 3D: Strong theoretical and applied skills in computer vision and 3D geometry (3D reconstruction, constrained optimization, morphology, clustering, etc.).
🗺️ GIS & Remote Sensing: Knowledge of GIS/remote sensing tools for data georeferencing is highly appreciated (GDAL, QGIS, geopandas, rasterio).
🧠 Deep Learning: Solid knowledge of Deep Learning and general Machine Learning, with experience in specific computer vision tasks (semantic segmentation, object detection, image classification) and PyTorch (or equivalent).
🐧 System & Version Control: Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and Git.
🗣️ Language: French and English written and oral proficiency
