Our team (Predictive Oncology, CRCM, U1068 Inserm FRANCE), led by Pr François Bertucci and Dr Emilie Mamessier, is seeking a junior postdoctoral fellow for a two-year contract to work on a cross-disciplinary project focused on characterizing the tumor microenvironment in colon cancer:
- At an early stage (mouse model generated in collaboration, from pre-tumor to tumor progression): characterization of microenvironmental changes of mice colon depleted of a subset of fibroblast during colon carcinogenesis.
- In treatment resistance (human model, treatment resistance, and early metastatic relapse): characterization of persister cells in early relapsers after surgery using single cell and spatial transcriptomics, patient‑derived organoids, and bioinformatics.
The project is super interesting and will require multiple skills and up‑to‑date technologies within a very supportive environment. Exciting preliminary data have already been obtained. Additional biological material is available to advance the project rapidly. The project and environment are conducive to publishing these two independent studies in high‑impact journals. Finally, the project has real prospects for clinical application.
