Job summary

Murex in Paris, France, is offering a 6-month Software Engineer Java internship for final-year engineering students. You will join the MX.3 platform team and contribute to Java components, data processing and CI/CD practices.

You will design, develop and test Java software, analyze existing code, improve performance, and explore AI-assisted engineering. English fluency required, and you will learn from experienced engineers in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Final-year student from an Engineering School or equivalent Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Good programming skills in Java and a strong interest in complex software systems.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Interested in topics such as software architecture, distributed systems, performance, data processing, observability or continuous integration.
• Curious, analytical and eager to understand how software components interact.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, with a proactive and autonomous mindset.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software components and services in Java.
• Analyze existing code, execution flows and technical architectures.
• Improve the performance, robustness, reliability and maintainability of existing solutions.
• Contribute to the development of data-processing, workflow or real-time applications.
• Work on distributed systems, service orchestration and platform components.
• Enhance monitoring, diagnostics and operational tooling.
• Contribute to testing, continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Explore the use of AI and Machine Learning in software engineering use cases.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects and product experts.
• Document your approach and present your findings and solutions to technical stakeholders.
