Jobtailor in Lyon is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to design, build, and maintain robust backend systems. You will contribute to high-performance REST APIs, data pipelines, and scalable microservices in a cloud environment.

The role emphasizes SOLID principles, Clean Code, and CI/CD automation, with collaboration across frontend, DevOps, and product teams to support a high-volume platform.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Proficient in Java.
• Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
• REST API development.
• SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Maven or Gradle.
• Git.
• Knowledge of REST principles, SOLID and Clean Code.
• Nice-to-have: Kafka, RabbitMQ or other messaging systems.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Elasticsearch.
• Microservices architecture.
• Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Prometheus, Grafana or OpenTelemetry.
• Bash.
• Node.js / TypeScript.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications in Java.
• Build and evolve high-performance REST APIs.
• Contribute to the development of Big Data processing pipelines.
• Optimize application performance and ensure reliability.
• Design and optimize SQL data models.
• Participate in business requirements analysis and technical design.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and platform evolution.
• Perform code reviews and promote best practices (Clean Code, SOLID).
• Drive continuous improvement of development industrialization.
• Diagnose and fix production incidents.
• Collaborate with Front-End, DevOps and Product teams.
• Help scale the performance of a very high-volume platform.
