IXO is seeking a professional voice talent to record Japanese or English narration for audio work. You will read prompts, adjust delivery, and ensure clean, well-structured audio files suitable for review. Remote work is possible within listed locations.

The ideal candidate has native-level command of the language or a strong English accent, precise diction, and proven experience in scripted narration, voice-over, or dubbing. Audacity, Audition, Pro Tools or Reaper familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of professional audio or voice work is preferred, including scripted narration, voice-over or dubbing experience.
• Native-level command of the language or English accent with precise diction and reliable vocal control.
• Familiarity with basic cleanup tools and recording software is useful.

Your work at IXO

Record clear, controlled speech in Japanese for IXO audio work. The goal is a natural performance that also meets the script and technical requirements. Preserve the natural pronunciation and regional variety specified for the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Read prompts, dialogue or narration with accurate wording and clear articulation.
• Adjust pace, emotion and delivery style while maintaining a consistent voice across takes.
• Check your recordings for noise, pronunciation mistakes, uneven levels and other audible defects; correct or re-record affected passages.
• Apply the specified sample format, file names and organization so each recording can be reviewed reliably.
• Identify unclear script instructions and explain how they affect the performance.

Experience and equipment

You should have native-level command of the relevant language or English accent, precise diction and reliable vocal control. Use a quiet recording space and suitable audio equipment; professional microphones, interfaces and recording software should support the required quality. Be prepared to demonstrate your normal recording setup and provide a sample if requested. Three or more years of professional audio or voice work is preferred, along with scripted narration, voice-over or dubbing experience. Voice-over, broadcasting, podcasting or related professional recording experience is valuable.

Familiarity with recording and basic cleanup tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper or an equivalent system is useful. Follow the tools and technical specifications agreed for your assignment rather than assuming every named application is required.

Deliverables and terms

Deliverables are organized audio files and the agreed quality checks. Work is remote within the listed locations. IXO will confirm the scope, schedule, recording-use terms and acceptance criteria before work begins.

Pay is $15 $35/hr in USD, based on labor hours. This listing does not use a finished-audio-hour or fixed-submission fee.
